Water Temperature California

California,  also called “The Golden State”, is located in the western U.S. and borders directly on the Pacific Ocean, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona and Baja California. The state is known for its diverse landscape and nature. In the west, there lies the beautiful Pacific coast with its steep cliffs, narrow coves and secluded beaches. Inland lies Death Valley, the driest and with Badwater the deepest area in the United States. The highest mountain in the United States, Mount Whitney, is also located in California.

The climate in California can be divided into three zones: At the seaside, the temperatures are lower than in the interior of the country. In the California Mountains, like Sierra Nevada, the temperatures are getting really hot during the afternoon and extremely cooling down in the night. California’s water temperature in the Pacific Ocean ranges in the course of the year between 57 degrees Fahrenheit as the lowest in January and 68 degrees Fahrenheit as the highest in August.
